Branding and UI Designs for a Yacht Event Startup

Using a user-centered approach, the goal was to create captivating branding and intuitive mobile UI screens for a yacht event host startup, enhancing the guest experience.

Project Description

A start-up approached us to design their yacht’s interior & exterior using Alias and Unreal Engine, creating a stunning, functional event space. They also needed a mobile UI for event tracking. We collaborated closely to align with their vision, ensuring a stylish, safe, and practical design.

Results

The mobile UI for event tracking was a key feature, enhancing the client's operations. They were also thrilled with the yacht’s exterior design, which perfectly balanced style and functionality. This project was a great learning experience for me, as it was my first time managing a small team. I gained valuable insights into coordination, leadership, and communication, which I’ll apply in future projects.

Research

During this phase, I curated a mood board to visually convey the design direction for the project. The client sought an aesthetically captivating app, so I gathered a selection of trendy images from various sources, which highlighted key design elements, colour schemes, typography, and visual styles, providing the client with a clear vision of the app's look and feel. 🎨

Glowing ID Cards

This segment of the project focuses on product design, brand development, and user experience. I’ll be showcasing a detailed presentation of my design approach and thought process, highlighting how I aimed to create engaging and intuitive ways for users to interact effortlessly with the events space. 🏷️

I wanted users to easily identify where others work through their ID cards, incorporating the brand’s DNA for a personal touch. To simplify networking, I added a QR code. I also provided various color scheme options for the client, knowing that as a startup, they would appreciate the flexibility.
